Tuning & Spying Permissions

TUNING

Sunday can use the power of Harmony to "tune" others. This process allows him to greatly influence someone's mind. It can be used in a healing fashion to soothe distressed people. It can be used defensively to alter other people's perception or make them forget they ever saw him. It can also be used as an attack to slowly unravel someone's sanity or force them to tell the truth. Not telling the truth when tuned turns the Harmonic consecration into a trial that will kill the person if they fail. In extreme circumstances, Sunday can hold the minds of others prisoner within his own consciousness. According to the Masked Fools, aggressive tuning can even rob someone of all sentience, reducing them to a mindless husk.

Which is all to say, it does a lot, and its limits are not well defined in canon. If it has to do with the mind, tuning can do it.

Sunday is canonically very liberal about his use of tuning. He does it with no regard for the boundaries of others, as it's an ability he's had his whole life. In RP, however, this ability is entirely opt-in only.

SPYING

Sunday is likely to recruit other characters to serve as spies for him, though he may lie about his motives. He wants to know what people are doing out of paranoia and a need to feel some control over his environment. He may use what he learns against you, anyway, however. He is vicious and cruel when cornered.

Spying and being spied on are also entirely opt-in only.

PERMISSIONS
This is all opt-in only but here is a "consent to tune/spy" question so you can tell me "no" directly to my face!

CHARACTER NAME/JOURNAL USERNAME:
CAN SUNDAY TUNE YOUR CHARACTER?:
IF "YES" IS THERE ANYTHING YOU WOULD LIKE TO EXPLORE THROUGH TUNING?: Would you like your character to be relieved of despair or distress for a while? Unravel their mind? Alter their perception? Anything else you can think of about your character's mental state that you would like to play with via tuning? That all goes here!
WOULD YOU LIKE YOUR CHARACTER TO SPY FOR SUNDAY?: We can RP a meeting or handwave it!
CAN SUNDAY SPY ON YOU?:
IF YES, WHAT WOULD HE LEARN?: Details about a character's routine, etc. He can learn as much or as little as you want.
ANYTHING ELSE?: Questions, comments, and concerns go here!

CHARACTER NAME/JOURNAL USERNAME: Accelerator / [personal profile] levelshift
CAN SUNDAY TUNE YOUR CHARACTER?: Yes
IF "YES" IS THERE ANYTHING YOU WOULD LIKE TO EXPLORE THROUGH TUNING?: Accelerator is massively depressed with PTSD and a whole lot of self-loathing due to his upbringing (isolated, dehumanized child experiment) and his own actions (murdering 9 000+ innocent clones). He has like, three breakdowns throughout the course of the series lol it's pretty bad. It's possible for him to go off the rails sometimes, and when that happens it can be very dangerous since his esper ability is so powerful. If that ever happens it might be fun for Sunday to work with Harold and John to calm him down.
WOULD YOU LIKE YOUR CHARACTER TO SPY FOR SUNDAY?: Maybe?? I'm not opposed to it but I think it would require some plotting beforehand.
CAN SUNDAY SPY ON YOU?: Yes.
IF YES, WHAT WOULD HE LEARN?: He lives in the locked area of the second floor of the library, adjacent to Harold and John, and spends a lot of his time either there reading or at Ramsey Farm doing general maintenance stuff. Otherwise, he can be found taking naps (he's very depressed, oops) and not being particularly sociable - he doesn't really hang out with kids his age very much or do a lot of normal teenager-y things. Outside of meals cooked by John, Accelerator basically just lives off of food from the convenience stores. He doesn't cook and he drinks a concerning amount of canned coffee.
ANYTHING ELSE?: Accelerator has a traumatic brain injury after being shot in the head! Normally, his brain damage is so bad that he's essentially catatonic: he can only make surface level observations, can no longer parse language, and has a hard time moving around. He's functional thanks to the little device attached to the choker around his neck, it's a transmitter that is wirelessly connected to some electrodes implanted in his head that hooks up to Aurora's network. She's partitioned off some space for him that fills in for his missing brain function, and when he's out of range of her network he has a mac mini-esque computer that functions the same way. To conserve battery the choker has two modes, normal and esper, the former of which renders him basically a normal human (he can still use his esper ability to reflect sunlight). The latter lets him manipulate vectors, which he does by doing math/physics calculations in his head. Harold has admin access to Accelerator's choker and it needs to be charged regularly. I'm canonblind to Sunday so I don't know how his ability works, but there's probably some potential for their powers interacting in weird and interesting ways!
